What we do:
Architectural Design:
Residential, and commercial Architectural Design. We have over 15 years’ experience having completed projects from minor renovations through commercial builds, university education, accommodation and campus refurbishment. While our work is aesthetically diverse, our projects are linked by a focus on function and enhancing relationships through architecture.
Historic and Listed Buildings:
We have experience in working with Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga on the restoration of listed historic homes. We have also worked on the adaption, upgrading and repair/ restoration of many Christchurch Architectural School (modern) homes.
Draughting and documentation:
Our background is in high quality and effective draughting. Our drawings tell a story of what is to be built and how to build it. We don’t cut corners as a good set of documents is the backbone of any construction contract.
Consents:
Building Consents, Resource Consents (and Management) and Building Act Exemptions. We have worked with Councils (Building Consent Authorities) throughout Aotearoa. We have a good working relationship with our local BCA Christchurch City Council which determines effective results.
Certificate of Acceptance and other compliance:
Certificate of Acceptance applications for works completed without a building consent. Change of Use. Historic Code of Compliance Certification.
Re-cladding:
Annually we complete a number of re-cladding projects. These generally involve the replacement of older monolithic claddings that are installed direct to the timber framing. With our experience we are able to detail new solutions incorporating cavity construction and current compliance methodology to resolve often complicated and prone to failure existing detailing.
As-is where is/ Earthquake repairs and re-repairs:
We have first-hand experience restoring earthquake damaged properties to a standard that is insurable, consent-able and safe for you and your family.
